Dancers must be at least 14 years of age with a minimum of two years training, or the equivalent, in classical ballet. All dancers will take a ballet class; ladies must audition on pointe.
The Austin Dance Ensemble dancers rehearse twice a week, for eight weeks before each performance. Each rehearsal consists of one hour of warm-up, followed by a three-hour rehearsal.

Dancers must be between 9 and 19 years of age with a minimum of two years training, or the equivalent, in classical ballet. All dancers will take a ballet class; ladies who have had 2 or more years training sur la pointe may audition on pointe.
The Youth Ballet Theatre of Austin dancers rehearse weekly for eight weeks before each performance. Each rehearsal consists of one hour of warm-up, followed by a three-hour rehearsal (younger dancers are dismissed after rehearsing their parts).
